Tricalc
A single program for designing and analysing steel, concrete and any material structures, even concrete structures with steel trusses and industrial steel sheds with slabs.

Tricalc
when redesigning the structure, Tricalc can create automatic plans compositions, including construction details, without loosing the previous compositions.
All plans are created in format DWG 2000 to 2013.

Tricalc
Tricalc.11 module allows piles, pile caps and foundation tie beams design.

Tricalc
Tricalc offers automatic grouping functions of joist reinforcements and zonal distribution of waffle and solid slabs quantities.

Tricalc
Tricalc allows definition of structures on any plane: horizontally -floor plan-, vertically -in elevation or section- and inclined.

Tricalc
The Tricalc.10 module allows structural analysis of resistant walls of any material by finite element method, with any leaning of the floor plan, also with holes and tilted sides.

Tricalc
Tricalc designs and analyzes structures with inclined slabs, considering the horizontal component of loads. Cross slabs sections.

Tricalc
Advanced and transparent analysis permits to know intermediate calculations. Calculation on second-order by P-Delta method.

Tricalc
Particular options of reinforcement and verification of each element, each floor or each frame, working with concrete or steel.

Tricalc
Tricalc.9 module calculates foundation slabs together with the structure in an integrated way, considering their interaction.

Tricalc
Tricalc.Cad module is a floor-plans editor which allows to modify graphic aspects without external programs.

Tricalc
The module Tricalc.11 calculates in-situ piles and prefabricated piles.

Tricalc
In each of its up to 10 graphic windows different work planes can be defined, allowing to work simultaneously in floor and elevation.

Tricalc
Isovalue graphics permit to obtain load diagrams, displacements and tensions of floor structures, slabs and bearing walls.

A single program
Tricalc analyzes and designs structures of steel, concrete, wood, aluminium and any other material, even concrete structures with steel trusses and industrial steel sheds with slabs, bearing walls and retaining walls or piles; in a single program, with only one way to work and with all its features, without need of using several different softwares and a way to work that depends on the structure material.

Integrated for more than 30 years

Tricalc overcame more than twenty years ago the division between programs for concrete structures and steel structures, as it was usual in the old 80's programs.

Not only in floor plan
Tricalc permits to define structures on any plan: horizontally -floor plan-, vertically -in elevation or section- and inclined; and globally, reducing the risk of making geometry-definition mistakes.

Planes and frames of multiple work
Using the option "multiple planes" various work planes can be activated simultaneously in each window, such as, for instance, two floors, two elevations, or one floor and one elevation.

Work in up to 10 graphic windows

In each graphic window different work plans can be defined, allowing to work simultaneously in floor and elevation, or even in floors at different levels, without limitations of working in a single window.

More than 700 customizable icons

Tricalc includes more than 700 icons organized in already defined toolbars. It is possible to customize new toolbars, and also storing and recovering different configurations according to the work to carry out with the program.

Automatic predimensioning

Tricalc executes the predimensioning of steel and concrete elements, proposing automatically their sections according to their loads and features. Some other programs still lack this application at this moment in time, which Tricalc already included in 1991, even the 80´s calculation softwares such as Eph and Epa, both developed by Arktec, included it.

Calculation of retaining or bearing walls in the same program
Tricalc permits to define and analyze retaining walls in the same program, using all its features in input and output results, without need of using independent programs or not integrated ones. Bearing walls can have vertical or inclined sides, variable or constant thickness, with optional toe, heel and key, within Tricalc.6. options.

Advanced and clear calculation
Tricalc uses a 3D matrix algebra method and a finite element method, calculates in a clear way, permits to know intermediate calculations and, above all, offers multiple calculation options which users can easily modify according to their needs.

Widely documented

Tricalc comes with a wide calculation report that explains the methods and coefficients used in calculations, and which can be included in the project report.

Others are like a ‘black box’

Refuse any structure-analysis software which acts as a magic box, in which, on the one hand you introduce data and on the other you only obtain results, leaving hidden the calculation methods used and the simplifications made.

Reliable results
Tricalc provides powerful functions for checking and verification of geometry, and also supplies the reinforcement scheme which is easy to execute and modify; ocasionally, some other programs demand on using correction tables for manual modification of the obtained results.

Geometric axes

Tricalc considers the geometric axes of the sections and the spans of the elements using exclusively the figurated criteria for each regulation, without using not documented criteria. Display and analysis functions of the axes permit to know exactly positions and values.

Not every programs for  Windows are the same

Tricalc is developed according to the Windows-style guide, and with the same style of Microsoft Office 2007, using multi-windows, customizable tool bars, dialog boxes with tabs…, as it is usual in programs like Word®, Excel®, Project® and even AutoCad®. Refuse any software which uses an own, non standard design, that remind the 80's programs designed for MS-DOS.

Automatic calculation of sections
Tricalc includes an assistant for calculating the new sections characteristics. Also it allows to import from Excel® the values there defined and incoporate them into the program.

Particular reinforcement options

Different options can be used with Tricalc for each element, each floor or each frame: diameters, gaps, redistributions, deflection restrictions, options of buckling... tailoring the reinforcement to meet each need. Other programs force to always use the same tables and options for all elements.

Detailed verifying

Tricalc permits to modify the obtained reinforcement and its verification, obtaining for each section the new factor of safety. Other programs only offer limited or inexistent information of the final safety considering the modifications done.

Inclined beams
Tricalc performs the reinforcement of inclined beams and creates plans with their quartering in their real positions, delimiting anchorages and bar bendings. Other programs simplify calculations with a continuos reinforcement, and in a numeric form without realizing plans of these inclined beams.

Starter bars
For obtainig a complete measurement of the structure, Tricalc calculates and draws pile's starter bars. Height of column shoe can be conditioned to the anchorage length of the pile reinforcement.

Plans directly into DWG

Tricalc creates all drawings, graphics and plans of composition directly into DWG  format of AutoCad®. Other less developed programs only offer DXF format, neither solving the transformation issues nor the limitations of this format.

Inclined slabs
Tricalc designs and analyzes structures with slabs located horizontally as well as inclined, considering the horizontal component of loads. Refuse using simplifications, such as tilting slabs to the horizontal plane, which other programs force to.

Ribbed Slab Reinforcements agrupated by areas

Tricalc groups every beams reinforcements by areas of equal characteristics (diameter and span), according to the regulations, making easier the drawing and the construction, allowing to select between the elastic, plastic and isostatic method for the load distributions. Other programs do not group the results, showing all the different beams with no accordance to any geometric criteria.

Distribution in areas
Tricalc offers automatic grouping functions of ribs and distribution in quantity areas, not being necessary any manual modification of the results, as it is made with other programs.

Seismic analysis
Tricalc
carries out advanced seismic calculation through definable-spectrum analysis, and includes optional rotational mass or, even more, analyzing it in separated directions. Diverse spectrum regulations from different countries are already available in the program. Even users will be able to obtain an animated modes graphic on the screen and in AVI video format.

Foundation slabs

Tricalc performs an integrated structure analysis considering the slab-structure interaction, an effect which other programs do not consider when performing separatedly calculations.

Integrated punching shear

Tricalc carries out punching-shear chekings in the slab in an integrated way, without need of using external programs with simplifications.

Rendered images
Print rendered images of the structure, even with shades and textures, which can be added to composition plans.

Exclusive solid-wire mode

The mixed work mode, solid and wire, permits to verify the specific position of elements, otherwise, they could be hardly found because of their own accretion.

Included construction details

Tricalc includes details of the different structural elements which are analyzed and designed, with no additional cost. They can be introduced in composition plans and printed next to the other drawings.

Boxes and plans frames
Tricalc also incorporates a standardized boxes library of different sizes and formats.

Measurements

Tricalc automatically generates the broken down measurements of every structure elements in ASCII, Gest, and FIEBDC formats.

Bi-directional link with Gest

Tricalc includes a link with Gest program and with other budget programs, allowing to select directly the working units in the budget program.

Integrated editor of plans/drawings
The integrated plans editor of Tricalc permits to edit, compose, modify, delimite and enter additional information in the structure plans, without need of using another program. It is the perfect tool to add quickly modifications to the plans, before plotting them.

Tricalc.Cad
is a plans editor developed specifically for plotting structure plans, which distinguishes it from other generic CAD programs. It permits to modify texts, colours, fonts and lines, and also include symbols and heights, defining up to 13 different line thicknesses and add manufacturing charts and plan boxes.

Arktec, specialized company in software for AEC

Tricalc is developed by the only specialized spanish multinational company in development, commercialization and technical software support for architecture, engeneering and construction.

Invests all its resources

Arktec, S.A. invests all its resources in the development and improvement of its programs to always offer the most advanced tools to its clients, without combining it with other activities, like other companies do, which results in the limited development of their products.

Thousands of users have already known how to choose
Tricalc is used by thousands of architects and engineers in Spain, Portugal, Africa and Latin America and by the top engeneering companies and the engeneering departaments of main companies and organizations, even northamerican, german or british multinationals.

Demand qualified staff

Tricalc is developed by a multidisciplined team of architects and engineers. Demos and technical support are carried out by architects and engineers who understand the needs of each client.

Tricalc is different from other calculation software
What would you think if you get offered CAD programs designed by architecture offices, spreadsheets created by banks or text editors developed by publishing companies for their own use?.

Professional programs
Demand professional structure analysis and design programs developed by specialized software companies, and refuse those companies for which software is a complementary or even marginal activity, and also refuse those companies with aggressive sales representatives with low technical skills.

Don't get satisfied with less.
